  • Job Description: 

    The Interior Designer is responsible for translating the Principal’s vision from concepts to completion.  The candidate will work directly under the direction of the Company’s Principal and liaise between the Principal, the team, and the client.  This is a full-time position located primarily in the office of Casey Sanford Interior Design in Warrenton, Virginia.   

    The Interior Designer shall have full responsibility and ownership of multiple design projects, including but not limited to:

    • Working directly with the Principal to help lead client meetings and presentations

    • Sourcing all FF&E in accordance with creative direction from Principal and budget guidelines

    • Creating detailed design plans, drawings, and specifications

    • Research, source, and specify materials, furnishing, lighting, fabric, and finishes

    • Use AutoCAD to develop furniture plans and elevations, and detailed production pieces as needed

    • Create and manage schedules such as Finish, Plumbing, Tile, Paint, Lighting, etc.

    • Leading the coordination and production of technical drawings, which include Interior Design documentation sets, FF&E specifications, material schedules, and budgets

    • Managing communications and coordination between the Company and its clients, consultants, reps, architects, contractors and vendors

    • Manage project installations

    • Attend site visits, client meetings, and internal meetings


    Job Requirements:

    • 5+ years of professional experience in high-end residential interior design

    • Degree in Interior Design and/or Architecture from an accredited program

    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Design Manager, and Microsoft Office required

    • Strong design and presentation skills 

    • Strong communication skills

    • High attention to detail to ensure design intent along with technical and financial accuracy

    • Self-motivated, positive attitude, proactive, and detail-oriented professional

    • Understanding of furniture, millwork, and cabinetry construction, detailing, and related shop drawing review process

    • Experience with residential custom furniture, fabrics, finishes, and decorative items

    • Proven ability to review and annotate construction plans and shop drawings

    • Must be energetic, proactive, detail-oriented, highly organized and eager to grow and learn. The ideal candidate is client-focused, tech-savvy, adaptable, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively with the team.

  • Job Description:

    The Purchasing Coordinator (PC) will facilitate our growing clientele and projects.  This newly created role will manage the procurement function of the business, ensuring all client orders are executed and received.  The PC will own their responsibilities and thrive on numbers, accuracy, and methodical processes.  The purchasing coordinator will be a skilled communicator to our design team and leadership.  The position is part-time, fully remote with flexible hours, with growth potential. 


    Responsibilities:

    • Initiate and execute daily purchase orders

    • Monitor and manage emails related to payables and respond to vendor inquiries

    • Review acknowledgements for accuracy and submit payment for all orders

    • Manage accounts payable in Design Manager accounting software 

    • Work with bookkeeper to reconcile accounts monthly

    • Verify estimated ship dates and confirm merchandise is received before installation

    • Provide weekly updates for each projects’ outstanding purchase orders


    Job Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Interior Design, or related field

    • 2+ years professional experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in the interior design industry

    • Proficiency in Excel is required for the position

    • Mature, pleasant, and professional in manner 

    • Meticulous attention to detail and follow-up, time management and organizational skills

    • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal, for vendor and team collaboration

    • Must be a self-starter who is capable of working independently

    • Demonstrate a history of attention to detail and excellent follow-through

    • Familiarity with Design Manager or other interior design account software a plus

    • Accounting background preferred but not required

    • This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to spot potential issues
